Default What is this? (alarm)

Coud someone put a brand name to this unit.
What it is.
And How it can be adjusted/activated?

Bought the car ('08 Si) new from the dealer. Discovered this do-dad a few days later. I did not pay for it, it just came with the car.

I beat on my windows and steering wheel with the alarm armed and did not get any warning chirps/beeps so I'm not sure what it does considering the car came with a basic oem alarm.

It's a piece of crap aftermarket immobilizer that will make your car easier to steal.

Remove it ASAP and install a real alarm. Too bad they put holes in your new car...

I agree with B18C_EJ8 it's a "dealer installed" aftermarket POC immobilizer, [dealer has a shop or mobile guy install it].

If it was me buying a "new" car and I found that, [whatever that thing screwed into my dash trim is] in my "new" car, I would be asking them what the hell that was, why are there holes screwed into the dash trim of my "new" car and how long is it going to take to replace the trim?

So, did you buy the car as "new"or was it used, demo, lease return or something? 94

The car was new it has 84 miles on it now.

The holes are not that noticeable so I don't think having the dealer replace the part would be worth the hassle for a $20 part.

I guess I should look into upgrading to a better alarm considering I currently have no shock sensor. In the process Ill get that one removed.

Personally I would have the dealer replace that part.
If I'm paying a note or buying outright something "NEW" you better
believe its gonna be unmolested....

But then again that's me

there is a diffrent pice that goes there if you were to buy the dealer's alarm all it is is a kill switch that kills the ing. they cut the ing. wire and put that in its place no big deal the tirm they will replace if you tell them you want a new one and tell them your not happy its a inexpencive thing for them to replace

Got it from Robinson Honda. They had to trade the car with another dealer though and I don't know which one they got it from.

Did you ever figure out what that alarm is? Mine came from Spreen honda and has the same one that is disabled. I took it apart, they cut some of the wires and I can't find a diagram anywhereto hook it back up. It is more than what people think, it has a motion sensor and a glass breakage detector, not the best but better than nothing! The wires to the LED are cut and there are two line splices with no wires going to it, one is black and white under the drivers kick panel the other is on a green wire on the fuse box

It is for sure a alarm module installed by the dealer. I cant find any markings on it except a few numbers and google search came up with nothing. The blue screw on the face is the motion sensor sensitivity. The dealer cut about 6 wires coming from the box to disable it, 2 are most likely for the LED which is cut off and there are 2 more line splices that have no wires going to them. If I could find a wiring diagram I could hook it back up but since I cant figure out who makes it .........
