Default What is this?

Hi all,

I have an AstroStart Remote Starter install on my 04 Accord LX V6 4dr, but recently it's not working. The diagnostic code indicate "starting command was ignore because hood is open".

I tried to locate the hood pin switch, but couldn't find it anywhere under the hood. Instead I found a strange blue wire coming out of the firewall near the brake booster that wrap around a bracket. Could somebody tell me what is this wire?

Better yet, anyone know if there is not hood pin switch, what else should cause the remote starter think "hood is open"? The dealer that installed this remote starter is no longer in bussiness.

Thanks in advanced

It looks like it controls your heater, in the since that when you turn on the heat this cable in the blue covering opens a door that lets the hot water in and in turn heats the car up.

And your switch you looking for

Its in the latch, see the wire come out of the latch, that means that there some type of sensor in there.

Hope that Helps
