ABS hubs and non ABS hub compatablity

ABS hubs and non ABS hub compatablity
I need a new rear wheel hub and bearing assembly and I can find alot on ebay that are equipped with the abs ring but i dont have abs does this ring prevent me from using it for non-abs applications?
