I have been working on cars for a while. I have had 4th and 5th gen civics. I recently bought my first 6th gen 1998 Civic Ex coupe. I have a problem that is stumping me. Here it is.







I know the pictures arent great but that is the best camera i had at the time (phone). The hood is not lining up with the front bumper. it is back about an inch to far. but when you compare to the fenders it is in the right spot (other than fenders needing aligned). I couldnt snap a few shots of the bumper due to where i am parked but I believe it is 99-00 it has the brake ducts. To my knowledge this bumper didnt come on 96-98. Is that the problem.

 

your core/ radiator support probably is twisted check it out to make sure there is no unusual twists, bends, etc.. had the same problem on my hatch

have to take off fenders front bumper etc and depending on how bad it is either bend it back as strait as pobbible or drill out the two spot welds on either side of support and unbolt it buy a new one spot weld it back on really much easier than it sounds
