Default New sedan winter beater...a couple issues

Check out my new winter beater. This deal was too good to pass up. $1300.

Fsking awesome condition for an 89. Barely any rust.

I'm going to beat the sh-t out of this car this winter....

Couple of issues though-

Where can I get a passenger side mirror? I didn't come with one.

The passenger side lock tab is broken. How hard is it to replace?

The shifter is SLOPPY. It moves probably 5 or 6 inches left to right even when in gear. How can I fix it so it's an "H" pattern again?

That's about it. E-brake works, just needs to be tightened.

I've already got blizzaks mounted on separate wheels I'm going to throw on this thing...Should be pretty good in the winter.

Just go to the junk yard and get a pas mirror from an LX model.
For the shifter, sounds like you'll need a new shifter bushing kit, cost like $12.

Car looks to be decent shape. Its ok for $1300. I paid two hundred more than you and picked this Si up last week myself.

nice sedan!!!! my cousin has the same car/color. 300xxx+ miles and runs like a champ.

junkyard is your best bet for cheap prices. mirror from any sedan will work besides the powered lx/ex models.

the lock tab is easy to replace. remove the door panel and it should be self explanatory from there. go to the yard and mess with some there.

the shifter like mention, get a new bushing. had that problem in my cousins sedan

the ebrake, tight it up at the back of the handle. mines at a point where it barely goes up. quick response for any close called accidents. i drag so good for burnouts.

dont "beat" on the car too hard. the motor would last you forever if taken care of

the Si is a good deal!! super clean.

not to mention we just got one 2 days ago as well. $1400. mint si

DONT MEAN TO THREAD JACK. GOOD DEALS ARE COMING AROUND

Thanks.

Yea, there's no deals like those SI's anywhere close to me. I've been watching for about 2 or 3 months now.

This was the best deal I've seen, so I jumped on it.

I'll check the shifter bushing. That's my main concern.

could also check where the shifter connects to the transmission, the pin/holes could be worn/loose.
