Motorcycling in Ohio (Dayton)
Hi,
I am about to hit another cross road of what I want for my next assignment. The smart thing to do is to go to Wright Patterson AFB (Dayton, Ohio) to get my masters.
The question is, are there a lot of nice twisty roads that you can ride for hours? I don't remember that area to have any mountains or even hills. I know Mid Ohio Raceway is about 2 hours away so thats a bonus. I don't mind traveling about 30-60 minutes to hit nice roads. I love riding bikes and driving cars.
I been spoiled by nice roads of S. Cali, Central Cali, and now Europe.
Please post pics if you can. I appreciate everyone's inputs.

That area of Ohio is rather flat and the road layout is grid-like. You're going to be riding for a while to get to any scenic winding roads.
To the southeast are the hills of Kentucky, and there are at least three tracks within a couple hours' drive.
Driving and riding is nice and all, but letting a lack of fun local roads stand in the way of getting your masters is rather silly.

I grew up in Dayton and now live in Cincinnati after graduating. I'd say just quit searching now for roads that are fun in Dayton. The only roads that I've found that meet your wants is KY-10 & KY-22.
A group of riders ride this just about every Sunday morning. It starts just off of the 275 bypass down in KY so that's roughly 1.25 hours from you, but it's worth the trip to be honest. You won't find anything even remotely close to those roads in Dayton.
