Default What tach for a Civic DX?

Just bought a 89 Civic DX sedan for a winter beater.

I'd like to throw a tach in.

Can I swap a cluster with a 88-89 SI or HF?

Is it straight plug and play, or would I have to run wires?

Let me know.

if you get 90-91 it's different wiring though, I did the opposite. I have a 91' base model and got a tach from an 89 model 4 door ex. I just rewired it by matching up the colors, but now my high beam indicator doesn't work, and my check engine light comes on for speed sensor ??? code 17. anyhow, I plan to swap it out again later on and do it properly so I regain these functions. gl
