Default Joined The Honda Familia Again - My 1989 CRX DX Project Car

I can remember being a 15 year old in 1992 watching this older kid I knew roll around in his CRX sitting fat with gold daytons and a custom black metal flake paint job. I thought that was the coolest car on earth back then

Well today my dream became reality. I had come across an ad in a local online classified yesterday for the CRX, but the seller didnt post a phone number so I shot of an email as fast as possible. I didnt hear back, so today I was just surfing craigslist when I saw and ad for the same car, but with a couple different pictures. From the pictures I could tell that the car was actually located 2 blocks up the road from me, so I just drove up ASAP. the car was still there, the owner was home. Less than an hour later she was mine.

I couldnt believe I got this car for only a grand in its condition.....the seller was a Cubs fan to though, so I didnt mind the steal

So without futher ado, here she is as I bought her earlier today. More to come.

1989 Honda CRX DX

Thanks for looking!

LOL Yeah the tails, the whitewall plus the fart can are definately staying

I've already begun the search for some OE tails, that and the exhaust are going to be the first things I change out. I do plan on driving this car while I tinker with it so I don't want to look like a complete douche when I'm out and about in it.

Yeah, aside from a small ding in the passenger door, and a little rust hole in the drivers side rear quarter there isnt any other dents in the body. The car had been repainted as well at one time.

I got the OE tails put on, but now I'm having engine problems I'm trying to trouble shoot. Also turns out the car is a DX and not an HF like I was told. If I had more of a clue about CRX's I probably would have noticed that earlier
