Default Which size f1 gs-d3 would be better for me?

tirerack is having a closeout on a some of the f1 gs-d3 tires. Just wondering which size would better suit me. 91 honda civic hatch is the car.

195/45r16

or

205/50zr16

the 195 is going to give much more accurate speedometer readings, but given the same compound, would the 205 net me better traction?

I'm worried that once these tires wear out to the point of replacing, that i might not be able to go back to this tire since they seem to be phasing out all their smaller sizes, which goes the same for most "max" summer tires

thanks.

Out of those two I would get 195/45-16. 205 will not get you better traction what so ever.

Would there be a better size tire than those two? I would go with a 15" but most manufactorers are getting rid of smaller high performance tires.

Yea i know this is in the faq's, but it confused me more after i read it then before i read it....

which offset and center bore would i need?

+26mm offset 56.7mm bore

+45mm offset 56.1mm bore

im just assuming that im looking at a 16x6.5 4x100 size?

I would rather ask "noob" questions then to buy the wrong size and go through the bs of sending it back.

195/45-16 should work fine. (Right now that size is on closeout at the Tire Rack, $64/tire less a $50 rebate on a set of four.) They can be mounted on 16x6.5 or 16x7 rims.

The center bore should be 56.1 mm. I'm not sure about the offset.

If i were to stay with this tire after the 195's wear out. Would a 215/40ZR16 still be able to mount up to the same 16x6.5 rim?

Curiouse if goodyear is coming out with a revised version of the gs-d3 since they are closing out a lot of their smaller tires.

That's too big for your car. But you should be able to get 205/40-16 tires of various makes/models, which should work fine on that rim.

For their high-end summer tires, they are essentially replacing the F1 GS-D3 with their F1 Asymmetric tire. Unfortunately, they are not making it available in the smaller sizes.
