and to add to the question of is the small one a main relay, is there a way to fix it???

really???? naw, it's a 90 ex 5speed.
when everyone says that it's your main relay, they say that's it's under your dash right about your hood release. well, that what i found under my dash for the civic. then i tried to google it, and they say that it might be ether a starter relay or a ignition relay.
so it kinda throw me for a loop when in another thread they were talking about just re soldering some of the solder welds and it's all fixed. now i go and open the civic's relay and find what would be pic #2

Google for denso and the numbers on the side and see if it comes up on a parts site. Replicate the numbers on the side, and I will give it more of a shot.

to further answer your question...
the main relay will look just like the 3rd pic
look for your hood latch then get down in the driver's side floor and look a little above it to the right and it should be right there with one 10mm bolt in it

that is for sure your starter relay in pics 1 and 2. the teg and civic main relays look exactly the same.. so number 3 is what you will see by following the directions below.
the main relay can be located by finding the starter relay, then by following the bracket up the dash to where the whole thing attaches to a bolt going front to back. If you then look in the same space, there is a bolt going left to right. That bolt holds the bracket for the main relay. you will be able to see it if you look under there with a flashlight. Good luck, because it is the most pain in the *** bolt on the whole car, imho..
