Basically 1.5 in is the most you can lower your car on stock shocks for the most part. Any more than that usually requires an upgrade to a shock that can handle the spring

I think he meant the one's called H Tech. The golden/champagne color springs. Drops less than the S Tech. For me, I would go for the Eibach Pro-Kits... I used to love Teins, but Eibach just fits my DD requirements.

I am currently running on stock shocks with my Eibach Pro Kits. So far so good. If it's for a DD, just do the Pro Kits or H. Tech. BTW Pro Kits are on sale on PartsAmerica (where I got mine) for like $113 for 4th-5th gen Accords. Pro Kits usually run about 350-400 I think.... H Tech around 200 ish.

Well it's pretty recent. About 3 months. I've been going over a lot of speed bumps at my school, so if it can handle that, should be good. Beats the "you're going to blow your shocks in 1 week" theory of using stock shocks.

I had my prokits on with stock shocks for a year or two also til I went to coilovers. Never had a problem, blown shocks or regrets. Perfect for a dd

what springs? forever my friend ... if you have a 6th gen 98-02 i recommend something that will lower your car more than H Tech's ... stock 6th gens remind me of 4x4 trucks lol

I've been running the Tein H Techs with OE replacement shocks (KYB GR-2s) for about 2 months. It actually rides better than the OE springs and shocks, of course the OE setup had 200K+ miles on it. You still get quiet a bit of brake dive and lean in the corners, but if your going more for the look and not performance they are perfect.

If you want to read more I did a more in depth review, check it out here: http://www.honda-performance.o....html

I'm also running a Tein H Tech setup on my accord with over 200k miles. I went with the Tokico Illuminas for shocks/struts and they really help stiffen the near stock ride you get from the H techs. The 5 way adjustability is great and you get to have a great handling car with only a 1 inch drop. I highly recommend this setup to anyone who hates their stock ride height, but really needs to be able to clear big bumps and those driveways with those nasty rises for drainage.

I'll admitt I like the look of a lower drop more, but I use my car for a lot, so the low height just doesnt work for me.
