Default My system choices

ok, just got back from a few local shops... here are my two best choices (hehe only went to two shops)

Choice one, no sponsorship, from Ultimate Electronics:
(2) Alpine Type R 12's $199.95 each
(1) Rockford 700S amp $449.95
(1) Panasonic 572u deck $329.95
(2) Alpine 6x9's $199.95
(2) Alpine 5 1/4's $179.95
(1) Rockford 500x $315.00

Total $1875.00 (financing availible $110 a month or so for about 17 months no intrest)

Option #2, i have to run this guys stickers all over, and i get everything at about half price:

it is the same basic system but with Planet Audio subs, mids, and amps, its i think a little bit better system, but i would have to have tons of stickers and it would still cost more (about 2300 after sponsership!) and i wouldnt be able to get it for a long time because of my money situation.. so how does the first system look to you guys?

you could always save $200 skip the expensive rear speakers (put some cheap 3 way in there for rear fill) and spend it on nicer components for the front, something with some more midbass perhaps (6 1/2") the stage will sound better and it will be easier to set up the system to delocalize the bass.

Focal is nice ... I am an infinity junkie though.

Ya, save the $$$$ on the rear fill and spend on better front stage components. My personal preference and what I'm running now are AlumaPro Alchemy 12s with AlumaPro 6.2 components and AlumaPro 6" midbass. Ampwise ZAPCO all the way. For 1800 bucks I would try and get a nice Alpine CD(400),2 ZAPCO AG200s(550),AlumaPro BP10 sub box(350), and a set of AlumaPro 6.2 ALC components(500) and would have one sweet sounding set up. Plus wiring, labor, and so on..................
