Default door lock issues

I have a 01 accord 4cyl cpe and when i go to lock or unlock the doors with the factory keyless remote the locks try to move but go right back... also even when the car is running the master lock/unlock switch on the driver door does the same... what the hell is up with that? I was thinking the battery not having enough amperage would cause this but would it also do the same thing even when the car is running?

thanks in advance

the door lock accuator is a pretty common item they will cycle after the lock is triggered or very noisy.

I wasn't sure if I should've started a new topic for this or what...

But a friend of mine has a '91 Accord that was broken into some odd months back. The passenger front door lock and handle were damaged. Passenger door can't be unlocked by key or anything. Also, the lock goes up for like a half second (when using the central locking to unlock) and slams back down.

Money is kind of tight right now so some friends and I want to try to fix the door for her. Problem is, with the door locked like it is I can't seem to remove the door panel without damaging it. Any suggestions?

This is just a guess but, try removing power from the door locks by pulling the fuse or disconnecting the battery and unlocking manually. Then you should be able to open the door and get at the panel.

The door will lock and unlock manually by hand or with the key but the lock switch and the keyless remote the locks struggle to move
