forgive me for asking a dumb a$$ question but i only ask cuz it dont make any sense...why is FORD focus considered as imports? they're popping in to import shows, import drags...and even CHEVY cavaliers too...or did i understood something wrong???

 

theyre not imports, theyre sport compacts

 

exactly all us import guy's drive cars from other countries but in the races its all about size and wieght of car , # of cylinders in the motor, etc. So in racing circles we are in the same class as the focuz and cav. all FF four cylinders (sp) Have a migrain and can barelly think right now sorry.

 

i went to hot import nights last weekend and i saw some chevy cameroa,cavilers,and some focuses and i think i even saw a mustang, what the hell is up with that.... i thouhgt it was suspossed to be import nights??????

 

oh ok i get it now...i guess i was getting confused between imports and sport compacts...thanx guys...(feeling like a noobie )

 

dont make sense to me either.

 

It makes even less sense when you consider that half the "imports" are probably made in the US, and the "domestics" are probably made in Mexico.
