Default 5zigen fireball rear section exhaust

I saw on the importparts.com honda-tech section that they have the 5zigen rear sections for 239.99. I am just starting to mod my 95 ex and was wondering if this would be a good idea to put this on and an aem short ram intake, i am on a budget, and possibly get the exhaust made to a full catback at a muffler shop. Also if anyone knows the power differences between catback and rear section and also the sound difference, thanks

you could, but it would be extreamly loud. no resonators or nothin. inside the car seems louder than outside. plus the muffler shop mandrel bends the pipe to the bends are smaller diameter than the rest of the pipe. it will also rust. i know cuz i used to have a custom exhaust. i said screw that and i got a j-spec 5zigen fireball catback. i like it a lot better. just save a couple hundred more and get the full catback.

Most of the restriction on your stock exhaust system lies in the massive stock muffler anyway...Going to a straight-through will give you a little noticable power. Then just get the piping made to match and youll be set.

BTW -- Good choice w. the 5Zigen! I had one on my Si and loved it. Nice tone, not too loud at all.

Couldn't have said it better. Buy the whole thing and you'll be happier in the long run

custom piping into a Fireball rear section is gonna be loud!
the full catback has a big resonator then a small resonator (or glass pack) then the muffler. you won't have any of that with a custom set-up.

you'll probably notice some gains with just the axel back.
i'd go for the full exhaust.

i have a Fireball catback... i like it a lot.
