crank position sensor help

Default crank position sensor help

i have a 99 dx and im swapping in a d16y8 from a 99 ex(or i was told)...i have a 99 si wiring harness and everything was fine until i got the the sensor that go's to the oil pump..my harness has a 2 wire plug and my y8 has a 3 wire plug???what do i need to do..

find an EX/LX/DX 99 or 00 obd2b Civic harness and depin the crank position sensor connector. Depin the one from your SI harness and repin the civic connector in.

thank you, from what ive found out seems like one of the 3 wires on my y8 is a ground that isnt needed, and i just match the 2 colors..this sound right??
