Default AEM EMS swap type computer

i'm swapping a b18a1 into my 1993 Honda del sol, i want to get an AEM EMS stand alone computer system for my car, i found one for it but it is for a obd1 or obd2 comp., if i buy it would i be able to put that in with the engine. it came out of a 2002 integra type R, would that work, would i be able to use it, i already have the laptop and program for it but i'm not sure if the ecu would work, and i dont know if i could reset the settings on it and basically start over? just a little help figuring out if it would work would be great.

Not to be insulting or condescending, but if you can't figure this one out on your own you probably don't need to be fooling around with an EMS. The EMS is a lot closer to perfect than many other systems, but the margin of error is slimmer and the potential for disaster is greater.

Find a professional tuner, and go from there.

Gee, don't be a crybaby.

The EMS can run any motor and any combination of sensors you want. But you choose the application for the ECU harness in the car so it can plug in. Your car is OBD1, so you need an OBD1 Honda EMS. I believe the part no is 1050. Go to AEMPower.com and put your car in.

"but the margin of error is slimmer and the potential for disaster is greater."

Nonsense. Doesn't matter if it's a cheap hack or a standalone ECU. Even the most basic tuning can blow a motor. Crank your distributor as far forward as you can. Put some resistors inline with your sensor wires. You'll blow the motor just as easily.
