Ok guys just had two trannys given to me. One is a Gsr cable vtec will only go into 3 and 4th gear? Other one is a cable LS and has a bad sycnro I believe (thats what I was told) Are some of the parts interchangable? Any ideas whats wrong with the GSR? I would really like to use that gsr trans!!!!! Please let me know Ima crack open housing this weekend and see if there is anything that sticks out!

 

Tear the GSR down and find out why it won't go into other gears. First thoughts are you will definitely not like the cost of parts to fix it.

 

Depends on what type of Ls tranny you got. If it is a ysi LS tranny than it is interchangeable with the GSR ysi tranny, if the transmission is from the older 90-91 integra such as the S1 then it won't work.

 

syncro ring might be bent, fixing a tranny right now, wouldnt go into 3rd. that little ring bent up bad. could be the slider or whatever its called that puts it into gear. take it apart and find out
