car was running great today as always, i park at my brothers house and its off for like 30 minutes and i get back in and nothing... lights on, working, i turn key battery clicks...but the engine doesnt turn at all... im thinking its the starter, what i want to know is what can cause it to just take a dump like that? going back in the morning to take a look in the light. if someone can please help me to know why my car wont start it would really help i got work tomorrow night

Go to your local auto parts store and get it tested. It is most likely the starter or a solenoid. Try tapping the starter with a hammer while someone tries to turn it over. That might be a fix in a pinch but replace the part.

 

does the starter actually make a clicking noise?? do you hear your fuel priming?

 

yea i hear the fuel and the battery clicks. starter isnt making noise unless thats the click n i just think its the battery. i put in a new starter and nothing. from what i can see the wires look good. what else is there?
