i need transmission for my 00 civic d16y7 in it asap !!!
look ing for new ,rebilt, or used transmission !!!
i have $500 in hand but i what to no if ane other
transmissions will work better thin stock is a oo dx civic with d16y7 all stock

 

As long as its a 5 speed manual any '92 - '00 d-series transmission will work. Can be had for well under $500. Post a WTB ad in the marketplace.

 

wtb forum is gonna be your best friend. also look in the for sale area for the tranny you want. dont forget about the regional forums also in the marketplace.

 

WTB forum definitely. If possible, I would recommend the d16y8 transmission from the civic EX. It has a little better gear ratios than a y7 from what I hear, and you'll get a bit of a performance gain from it.

 

you can get a dx tranny with no grinds for 100 bucks. or a z6 tranny for 200-300 depending on miles.
