ok, i was drivin down the 405 in long beach, ca, it was about 12 noon and way in front of me i see something ive never seen before... the body of this sedan resembled a 96-00 civic sedan, but the tailights had the shape of the newer accord sedan..and by now im starin at this thing like WTF!!!!???? the taillights were shaped like the accords' but it wasnt as wide... now i come up on its side and see that it has an acura sign and on its right side of the trunk it says 1.6EL... WTF is that!?? i pass it up and the headlights were incomparable to anything ive seen, it sorta looks like the headlights from the older mitsu galants.. but i may be wrong... does anyone know WTF this is!!!!!????????????????

 

it may be from canada or maybe they did a front and rear swap

yep, must of been from here. the EL's are basicly EXs in the US...just that they have optional leather.

yep sure is a canada thing, 1.6 EL comes with leather, 4 disc brakes, 127hp engine, and a different climatate controls if i'm not mistaken.

You guys are on crack, it europeen, not Canadian, the civic in Europe have the accord taillights, and the accords have the civic taillights. Our cars are the same as your, but we get the civic SIR instead of just being SI

your on crack, it is a canadian model, it's an ACURA 1.6 EL, it is basically the same car as a ek sedan. jus the front is different, and rear is differet ( the trunk lights and the rear bumper but if u look closely the outside rear lights are the same)

the 1.6EL is a Canadian thing. My friend drives ones. It's has the D16Y8 engine plant. If you go to the http://www.acura.ca you will find a picture there.
