Gauging Interests in Sale: Need Honest Opinions
Aloha,
I would have to say that a good starting point would be about 1250'ish. I know you probably have much more than that in it.

might be worth good money to the right person if u got all the original bits. and it depends on how much of a rush you're in. you might not recover all your costs but go high and you can always drop the price if you get no interest
My '75 CB400 sold for $2500 in 24 hrs on Craigslist... it was all original though. But you should be able to get way more than $1200.

the bike looks nice, and you may be able to get over on someone in a sale, but it also has quite a bit of oxidation on it... take a closer look

WOW
That's a fantastic looking 400F
Personally, I'm not a fan of the cafe-racer bikes, I prefer 100% stock 'correct bikes.' The 400F is already a cafe racer out of the box, so anything deviating from that is a minus to me. As such, I PERSONALLY wouldn't even consider the bike for anything over $1000. However, there are many people who love the look of cafes and are willing to shell out a decent sum to have one that's already been 'done up.' I think $2000 would be a reasonable sum to ask.
