Default obd0 to obd1 conversion, just a few quick questions

I have searched, and I have read many posts, but have not come up with the conclusions I am looking for. I am curious has anyone done this to just do it? Everyone seems to do this for adding vtec but I am not interested in that. I am more interested in the fact that it refreshes its information faster and gathers data faster. Possibly getting into tuning, but I want to do one step at a time. Is the swap to an obd1 dizzy neccessary? What is the difference between the two?

OBD0 dizzy has a different number of "teeth" on the reluctor wheel for the cylinder position sensor than the OBD1 dizzy. If going OBD1, you must use the OBD1 dizzy.

Great explanation. I really appreciate your response. I am curious as to do this to go OBD1 for tuning purposes.
