Update: 10/04/08 Situation as been resolved, I received a J's Racing C-Pillar bar for reimbursement of the HID kit, he let me keep the HID kit also.

Update: 10/03/08Meeting up with him tomorrow to pick up a J's Racing C-Pillar Bar for DC, EK, EG to balance it out. He say's I can keep the HID ballasts too. Hopefully everything comes through tomorrow. </FONT></FONT>

To start things off, this is not a thread to bash on the guy or to call him a scammer or what not. I just need to get ahold of him because it's been a couple of weeks and I just want my money back.

The story is a couple of months ago, long before summer, I bought a set of what he,thatITRguy said to be an OEM HID set of ballasts for $100, it came with a set of D2S/D2R bulbs. So, I thought he was a cool guy had a couple of talks to him before and whatnot on HT found out he knew some people I knew not to mention the ballasts were at a great price. So I took his word for it and bought it from him.

<FONT COLOR="red"> Hell if you want the set of ballasts, LET ME KNOW. I'll sell it for what I got it for, you can use the bulbs or whatever you want.</FONT>

I brought it home and after a couple of days decided to install it. Lo and behold, the HID set did NOT work. All it did was blew a few fuses, it's all good though. I called him and said what happened he said he'd refund me asap. After a couple of weeks of not hearing from, I PM him on AIM and HT, he said his bank account has been frozen or someshit and his bank won't let him take money in and out of it. I've been cool with it for awhile now and I think it's fair for me make this post.

Now I cannot get ahold of the guy and I just want the $100 back. Times are tough for a college student without a job. Although, the bank has frozen his account I'm sure he could come up with a $100.

what type of ballasts are they? do they have a 9006 plug on them?

It's D2S/D2R, he said they were OEM Acura ballasts.
There isn't a 9006 plug on them, it's for like retrofitted headlights OR OEM HID headlights.

It's not the halogen based HIDs.
