I thought I was REAL good until I ate ****, haha.
The pictures aren't in proper order so while yes, It was my first track day and I was still a bit timid at the end - some of these pictures are from the beggining of the day when I was VERY timid.
My last session I was working very hard to move my body further off the bike which I'm certain I did since I was dragging my knee - however from the pics I can tell my upper body still needs to move a bunch more.
Went to check on the bike at the shop last night. Was going to take pics but they had it cramed way back in a corner between 50 other bikes so that will have to wait.
Total estimate for all repairs - $7300, haha. So I'll be getting a check for a totaled bike - boooooo. Hopefully I get somewhere in the neighborhood of $3500 - $4000 after my deductible.

Oh, and yes, stock foot pegs.
I Scraped them on my 5th or 6th session and scared the hell outta myself. It broke off the the tab that sticks down and didn't scrap it at all after that - however it did scare me for about a half session worrying I was going to do it again.
There is a bolt/nut that you can remove which will take off the majority of that feeler that sticks down out of the bottom of the peg - I would recommend taking that off before you hit the track. Maybe even grind off the little bit that's left even.
Keep in mind, you have to lean the bike over REAL far to hit those so I don't know that it's really necessary.

Look good out there, crashing sucks but it's part of it. You ever think about going out to Arroyo Seco in New Mexico?

hey Scott, sorry to see they totaled the bike. Let me know when you can give my tie downs and canyon dancer back please. Going to the track this weekend with a friend and just going to buy a set. Thanks.
Joe I take it? Did you see the pic of me chasing you down?
I'd be more than happy to meet you somewhere or bring them to you today or tomorrow if that would get them to you in time for your track day - just let me know. Otherwise I could ship them to you if you'd like?
Thanks again for all your help - I really appreciate it.
