Default 00 dx brake uprade question

I have been researching for a while now about upgrading my front dx rotor 9.5" to that of an si's 10.3". I also have been researching of upgrading my rear si disc swap to that of any 02 si's 10.2".

Now my question is if upgrading to the rear disc of an 02 si's only requires the 02's disc, brake bracket and pad. Then why couldn't i just do the same thing to the Front, instead of swapping in the knuckles from an ex or si ? ?
