Speed Sensor Plug (VSS plug)
My '93 del Sol's speedometer hasnt been reading right. I checked the speed sensor and found that the harness plug that goes to it is cut off and the three wires are just shoved into the sensor. I checked the junkyard and the only one that didnt have the plug cut off was an automatic trans.
Are the manual and automatics the same?

the plugs for the vss are interchangeable, what trans it had in it doesn't matter. hell i have a 95 civic electronic speed sensor in my b18b engine using the plug from the donor cars harness, which was an automatic.
UPDATE
Well I got a plug off some Accord and a new sensor off an automatic Civic. The wire colors are different between the Accord and Del Sol. The Accord has yellow orange and black, while the sol has yellow/white stripe, yellow/blue stripe, and black. I tried different combos for wiring and the gauge still doesnt read. Is there a way to test the wires in the harness to see if theyre still good or for any breaks besides manually cutting apart and checking the harness? I do have a multimeter.
