Default CRX WITH B16 SWAP J1 TRANSMISSION CLUTCH ISSUE (CABLE TRANSMISSION)

I purchased a new cable from an acuran integra fitment for my CRX after the CRX one was too short. Didnt feel like modifying it. But my problem is th eclutch lever or clutch arm will not go up more than an inch or two. I cant get the thing to go up high enough to insert the cable. Im not a mechanic in any way so just wondering what some of you pros could tell me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had this same issue with mine removing it and installing it. If you have the cable bolted to the trans just unbolt the 2 bolts that go into the tranny, and place the end of the cable into the lever and then install the bolts to hold the cable down. It might just needed adjusted out.

Yeah but how much should the transmission lever be travelling. Is it unusual that the arm only goes up one or two inches?

I dont know man this **** is hella tight. Is there any adjustment in the cable other than the line? I mean can i adjust the pedal to give it more slack?

i had the same issue when swapping my b16a with a j1 to my rex... the brack that hold the cable... unbold from the tranny flip it over bold it up again then adjust to your liking... works like a charm i even used the original crx cable to boot... i did have to get the throttle cable and make a bracket to put the adjuster about two inches towards the passanger side and rebolted it all back up
