Default painting ls mesh wheels

well i have decided to paint my backup rims. the only conflict that i have come up with is the wheel weights on the lip of the rim. should i paint these or not. can you take them off? I want to paint the lip of my rims anodized red. any info will be helpful.

If you want to do it the proper way, get the tires off, get the wheel weights off and then get the wheels done. Then have the tires re-mounted and put tape weights when you get them balanced.
