Default Wheel Bearings on a 1998 4WD CR-V

Alright so a while back I noticed I had a rubbing/grinding noise in the Driver front wheel well. so after some diagnosis by myself and a few shops we had realised that the cracked coil (which has been cracked since I bought the CR-V) had been dislodged and was rubbing against my strut.

so I got new coils in the front. and... now the sound is WORSE! I get a constant grinding noise after about 60km/h but the stranger part is that it gets louder when I accelerate! I spent all last night looking at manuals and how-to videos about a possible bearing replacement? am I barking up the wrong tree?

someone mentioned that this was a mechanics only job because the bearings had to be machined off and all that. has anyone done this before? is it terribly expensive?

The old bearing would have to be pressed out by a machine, with the new bearing pressed in. You can do most of the work yourself by removing the hub and bringing it to a shop.
