92 Accord Cruise Control Issue
Well, my cruise control does not work, and I have been trying to troubleshoot this issue for some time. The button to the left of the steering column does not light up when turned on, and of course, the cruise does not work. I have check the fuse under the dash, I have swapped the vacuum servo, and I have tried a new cruise control ECU. I have done everything short of rewiring it. Does anyone have any similar experience or ideas apart from jsut checking wires with a multi-meter? Thanks in advance!
Two areas to look.
The main relay under the dash - see the FAQ's - can also affect the Cruise - mine did.
Second - check your brake (and clutch) switches - In my car - on cold mornings the brake switch is not made when the brake is released and the Cruise will not engage until I "lift" the pedal with my toe. I need to get under there and adjust the positioning slightly.
My button does not light up -- not sure it is supposed to. Should be easy to check for power before and after the switch though.

Maybe this diagnostic chart will help, but I seem to think that if the light at the switch isn't turning on when the button is pressed you will need to find out why it isn't getting power.
THANKS! I was not sure if the light on the switch lights or not. I will try to troubleshoot it this way. I am also trying to hunt down the entire system relay to see if that is worth a shot.
