My car is a 2000 Civic Si with 80,0xx miles on it. Mostly stock, except for itr cams, and bolt ons.

So lately I have been noticing that my car is more sluggish than usual. I use my car 4 time a week to deliver, so trust me if something is up I notice it.. haha.

Well I guess my question would be where would I start in replacing/tweaking parts to get that small boost in performance back.

I'd hate to advocate street racing (I never do it, but I'm sure you all won't believe that.). the last straw for me was I raced an ls integra and lost, twice.

Anywhooooo, any tips on where to start would be great. I'm not that experienced with heavy maintenance but I'm not afraid to try, and I'm armed with a service manual.

replace spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, thermostat, fan switch, transmission fluid, timing belt, tensioner and water pump,
flush the cooling system, check radiator hoses, new air and fuel filters, check your accessory belts and raplace as necessary, check oil pump, check pcv valve

 

Gonna do it all but the timing belt, not sure I have all the resources I need to do that..

Gonna start collecting parts based on that list.
