Default Good Extended waranty companies?

I called acura about extending the waranty on my 2000 ITR with 38,000 miles.
They quoted me $1,900 to extend it to 100,000 miles!!!!

I went online and found several other companies that offer it. One quoted a integra for $780 for 100,000 miles.

Whats the best waranty companies out there?

Thanks

I would try calling around to other Acura dealers. Their extended warranty prices have a lot of room for negotition. They can mark the price up over 100% over the dealer cost... Get some quotes from 3rd party extended warranty co.s and then call up some Acura dealers and use the quotes you got as a negotiating point to buy the Acura warranty.

can you purchase it via the phone? If so, you should be limitless...just call around ALL of the acura dealerships to see which gives you the best price...someone has to be willing to cut you a deal...

I don't see why it would need to be local since your car is still under the factory warranty and the warranty will be honored at any dealership....

try it

EDIT: I would only go through Acura so there is less problems w/ warranty claims...3rd party companies suck!

Good advise!
I found a list of all the acura dealers in north america. I emailed probably 75% of them.

So far, my local dealer wanted $1,900. The lowest dealer to respond so far will sell it to me for 1,150.
Pretty cool.

Check out Warranty Gold. A friend has it and really likes it, and their warranty is far more comprehensive than the one most dealers sell. It isn't cheap though...

Edit: I forgot to mention, you have to ask for the "Diamond" plan with them. That one includes everything except named exclusions (shocks, brakes, and clutch), whereas the cheaper "Platinum" plan only includes things they specifically state (like most dealer plans).
