gear. is this brand okay
okay i just bought a SCORPION EXO-400 HELMET and FIELDSHEER JACKET. the these products okay or should i save and try to get sumthing better
scorpion is a great bang for the buck helmet and is very safe. I had the exo-700 for a couple years when i first started riding.
fieldsheer is also good as long as we are talking leather. Anything textile/mesh is a no go in my book though.
of course there are better brands, but sounds like you are in the right direction.

Even the best and most expensive brands... mesh and textile will offer minimal abrasion resistance. Properly fitting leather, any brand, wear it every time, and you'll be safest.
Straight textile is is fine. Make sure it has good armor and fits well. Also will keep you warmer during the winter. The only disadvantage is thats its toast after one crash. For the price difference compared to leather thats okay in my book. If you have the money for nice leathers, go for it, but textile is fine. Avoid the mesh tho.
Leather while being hot on a hot day, I like it because I know it will save my skin. Also, if you don't have full leathers, I suggest getting some knee pads for wear under jeans. Check out newenough.com to find some sick deals
textile is just as good at protecting you as leather is on the street. its been tested. if you are racing and the only crashes you see are hundred yard slides in a straight line at 120mph, then yes the textile can be even worse than nothing at all because it can melt and weld itself to your skin. but on the street, you will hit something before you travel that far that fast. so don't let anyone tell you that textile isn't as good as leather for the street. that said, i choose leather just because it is heavier and psychologically it gives me more piece of mind.

yea i dont race or nothing i just ride a few miles. thanks for the link to buy gear and yea ima look into getting some leg protection, i was just gunna wear jeans all the time but now im thinking twice(im a small dude n a big bike)
Textile gear is pretty fine for riding around the city and not doing warp speeds. Also, it's more versatile than leather, because it's warmer in the winter and also waterproof (Try riding under heavy rain in leathers...it sucks. And then to dry and properly condition the leather once again).
Scorpion is a very nice lid brand, I also have a EXO-400 and no complaints so far. For the money, it's basically the best lids you can get.
Look into some textile pants or overpants

I wore a Scorpion EXO-400 for a long time, fantastic helmet. I even had the "opportunity" to test it out, saved my face.
Like slm said, most textiles are fine for every day stuff, but are one use only. I've been down in both; my leathers don't even looked scuffed, my textile pants...well, they sit right next to my old helmet in the closet, in the 'stuff I can never use again' pile.
