Default lca question(s)

are aftermarket lca's (megan racing,blox,skunk2) suppost to be shorter length than oem,or the same?i have a set of megan racing lca's (90integra) and they are a tad bit shorter than my stock ones,is this correct or did they send me the wrong ones?the box says 94-01integra?

Are they older or new? I'm pretty sure a couple of companies initially would make the LCAs a tad shorter to correct negative camber on lowered cars, but I'm pretty sure most people have stopped doing that.

Also, you said you have a 90 Integra? I may be wrong but those LCAs might be slightly different from the ones on the 94-01 Integras.

Not all companies alter the length of the LCA, but some do/did, touting a feature of no "camber" kit required in the rear. What ends up happening is the rear suspension geometry is now off, which could cause handleing problems. If the alignment shop said the LCAs were too short, they probably are.

Some cars, however, do alter the lenghts of the control arms via cam bolts, like 90-93 Accord and S2000s, to adjust the rear camber, but not to the extent the LCA was probably shortened.

Do you want aftermarket or stock? The stock replacements can be bought online for a pretty fair price, and they'll come with new bushings. If you want aftermarket, you're going to have to spend more $ to get a high quality product, like Function7.
