Okay, so in the b-series, everyone knows which OEM cams are best. What about the single cams? What is the better cam out there while still maintaining OEM status. Does anyone have specs on this such as duration and lift? What about overlap as that is a good turbo specification?

 

well, in non vtec form The best cam are the Si(d16a6)/sohc ZC cam

vtec on the other hand is the jdm d15b vtec or the d16z6.



searching google for d16 cam specs will get you the rest of your info. Just be sure to check multiple sources, misinformation runs rampant on the internet.

Great info. I am going to see what kind of list I can compile and get it out there. Thanks for the input. I figured a cam would be an easy upgrade without breaking the bank.

 

It is, but dont expect a whole lot from an OEM upgrade.

the d15b2 made 92hp and the d16a6 only made 108. it had mpfi, a better cam, a better intake manifold, better exhaust manifold, more displacement....

see where im going?

 

I've already got an Si. More or less I am looking into cams from other generations, not just OBD0 engines.
