Default 96 Accord Electrical Problem

I have a 96 accord lx 4 door

sometimes wile driving my radio will cut out in terms that it looses power. at the same time the clock will reset and both the tach and the speedo needles will go to zero. then every thing will come back up and the time on the clock is reset.

i tried looking through wiring diagrams to see if there is a common harness or ground but i do not see one.

any suggestions? how to find the problem??

thanks

Default Re: 96 Accord Electrical Problem (accordianex)

I have the same problem with the same car. I have found that the +12V (ignition) wire that runs to the back of my radio harness has no current while the 12V (constant) keeps a constant current. This is why my aftermarket in-dash receiver will take a CD and eject it but will not show a display or operate any further. I am going to try and splice the +12V(ignition) from my working cigarette lighter into the back of my in-dash receiver harness to gain power to the receiver while sacrificing my lighter. My speedometer will still be in and out. I certified Honda tech will have to troubleshoot that problem.
