code 6, ect wiring problem
so first off..i did a search and i found the info on the faq about getting a resistor and plugging it in to see if the problem is with the sensor or the wiring. well i got the resistor (330 ohm 1/2 watt spec, or one from Radio Shack part# 271-1113) and i still get a cel and bad idle. so i'm guessing the problem is with the wiring? can anyone tell me how to further diagnose this problem...maybe with a multimeter or something. or even explain how to hardwire my sensor to the ecu. i think i found 1 pin for the ect on the ecu, but there are 2 wires on the sensor...so im not sure how to hook it up.
update. i used a multimeter to test the red/white wire and i get 5v's with the key on. on the sensor and at the ecu. when i turn the car on i get the voltage changes slowly so it seems the sensor is working...when i tested it...it was at 1.7v's and the car was somewhat warm...not completely warmed up though. any thoughts?
by the way...the car is a 89 crx HF with a obd0 b16. and the code comes on instantly when i move the car.
