i have an 1990 honda crx hf replaced the ignition cyclinder lock and cars still does same thing when u start the car you have to hold the key in place!! or car wont run once u let go of the key car dies hold key in position and it runs fine

 

That is strange cause you replaced it with a new one. HMM if it was me and this is up to you i would just out it on a push button start. It sounds like something in the column is messed up, I guess if ya wanted to you can change out the entire steering column.

 

did you change the ignition switch?
