i know not everyone on here is 19. but they gotta actually see that us kids arent old enough to afford an si cuz we dont make as much, so maybe they shouldnt shoot right to a conclusion before they actually know whats going on.

The civics out there that can stomp all over muscle cars have ALOT of work done to them. More than what is currently available for an R18.
Some guy on here has a turbo R18. "Silence" or something like that is his screen name. But he never comes around anymore.

If you really wanna stomp a V8 then get that Z and don't even bother with ur Lx.

I got my SI last year and never had "mommy" or "daddy" pay for anything. Worked 3 summers to save up for a down payment

Which was the reason I got screwed for insurance

**** I wish my parents helped me, I was paying 600 dollars+ every month for my payment and my insurance. Only to get my Si totaled by some dumb *** on a phone

It was worth every penny tho, I loved my SI and the girls I hung around with did to.

4 doors 4 more ******

And why exactly did you get an R18 to hold you over, if you have the money to get a car and then get another car next year. Especially if your worried about speed...

You could have taken an average down payment and created a beast with an older civic.

im not talkin about my civic stomping on v8's, i know that will never happen with my intentions with this car. i got the car cuz my 02 accord was starting to have problems and i didnt want to keep that car for another year and a hlaf or so. and i worked at a honda dealership so i got the lx for dirt cheap especially with my trade in. trust me if my parents would of let me get an older car i would of, they wanted to me to get a car that had warrenty on it so i went with an lx civic. but with the whole z thing, i could of gotten it i would of been up to my eyes and paying out the a$$ for it, so im waiting until i get my career on a role then ill sell my civic and what is left over will be my down payment.

Little tip...work harder and you'll make more dough. Then you can stomp on muscle all day. We'll start calling you Paul Walker.

Unless you're banking within the next year, it's going to be hard jumping from a $18K econo-car to a $30K sportscar. I work full time ($43K Non-married) with 2 bachelor degrees and I can only reasonably afford a Honda SI.

If you're willing to sacrifice a good part of your life to pay off a car, good ahead; more power to you. You're not the first or the last to buy an expensive car and work your life away for it. A $30,000 car with an estimated $500/month payment (w/o factoring insurance mind you) is very tough when you consider mortgage/rent, bills, loans and the woman. Oh, also forgot the $$$ you need to set aside for modifying your 350z.

With that said: Check 8thcivic.com. There's one or two boosted r18s (I think) running mid 14s. Good luck!
