obd1 code 9 help

hey guys after my car warms up a couple times ive noticed a cel light coming on. when i check it out it is a code 9. which is no1 cylinder position. Now its a b18c1 motor with a new distributor. if i turn the car off sometimes the code will reapear sometimes it wont. any ideas?
