Default H22 PROBLEM?

Hi everyone, I recently purchashed a 91' accord wagon with a jdm h22 swap with just a header system and intake, its still running on a stock exhaust. My issue is the vtec. When I purchased the vehicle from the previous owner he had rc 550cc injectors on the car. The car drives and runs great but when vtec kicked in it would just studder so i put in a set of accord injectors that he also gave me with the purchase. With the accord injectors the car still runs good but this time the vtec just SCREAMS and doesn't go nowhere. So my question is do I just need to get the h22 injectors or what could be wrong here? Any help would be great.!!
THANKS

I just kept the stock H22 injectors on my JDM H22 and when VTEC kicks in it screams and pulls like a bat outta hell so i would just recommend the stock ones good luck

The car is not tuned for 550cc injectors. Does anybody know what size the h22 injectors are and where I can get some for a good price?
Thanks.

Damn, my boyfriend has a 94 accord with a jdm h22 swap in it and for the past few months its ran pretty good. Now he's having a really similar problem that just came out of nowhere. His vtec screams louder than normal but the car doesn't go anywhere. I beat him with my pretty much stock gsr everytime by at least 4 or 5 cars..which is bad. It runs pretty rich and has a strong fuel smell but the only codes it has are vtec solenoid, o2 sensor, and egr valve ...which he replaced all a week ago but nothing changed and the codes are still there. Could it possibly be the ecu? Does anyone have any ideas? Its been such a pain in the *** he's ready to get rid of it..

Btw i don't mean to jack ur thread.

YANG_JDM,

Depends on your setup.

1992-96 H22 VTEC Peak and hold 345cc
1997-up H22 VTEC Saturated 280cc (No resistor box)

BluePearlDC2,

Has he reset the ECU after replacing all the parts? Disconnect the (-) battery terminal for a minute. That will reset the ECU and clear any codes that have been stored on the ECU.

Note: Remember that when you disconnect the battery it also resets your clock & radio. If he still has the stock Honda radio he will need the code to get it up and working again. But if he has an aftermarket stereo then all he will have to do is reconfigure all his presets.

YANG_JDM, how is your oil pressure? if you do not have enough oil pressure to sustain VTEC, it will not go anywhere. I believe this is called LIT mode. Honda has this to help save the engine if something major is wrong

what codes are you throwing? code 21 is VTEC control solenoid, and code 22 is VTEC pressure solenoid. I had a problem with a code 22 when i put a P28 ECU in w/ my JDM H22A. since there is no pressure solenoid w/ the JDM H22A and the P28 ECU trys to look for one, it will throw a code 22 and will prevent the car from running VTEC. If u have a P28, i would get a P13 instead. saves a lot of headaches.

hope this helps

HI, the only code it is throwing is the egr. Im runnin on a p13, but if i put any other obd1 ecu in the cel goes off, why? Vtec does engage but no kick, just VERY loud.

That sounds like a clogged cat to me. "... full of sound and fury, signifying nothing." Thank you Mr. Shakespeare.

h22 jdm has 330cc injectors,
remove the vtec and clean them up.
if all wires are correct, p28 or p13 should kick in but better on p28. Hondata s300

by this time, U should already found the problem.
