need help with 2000 gsr oem exhaust!
hey whats up guys?...my aftermarket exhaust went to **** so i got rid of it and my friend hooked me up with a factory exhaust from a gsr which is what i orginally had before i did the exhaust...well i went to bolt everytihng up and the header wouldnt work, it seemed to long and the bolt holes on the header wont line up with the cat...so my friend gave me another set to try and still same thing....my question is with a facotry gsr exhaust do i HAVE to use the gsr oem header or will something else work, and keep in mind i want to keep it bolt on, no welding or cutting cause i cant get to any of that right now...any info would help, thank guys
I had the same problem once. It was too long so I cut a section out, used a 2" exhaust coupler to reconnect the two ends of the pipe, rotated the flange to bolt up to the cat, and welded it all in place..

Take it to an exhaust shop and have them do it.
Alternative, is to get a flex coupling, a couple of exhaust clamps, and a hack saw from Pep Boys.

ditto what tunernoob said. Find a friend with a sawzall or hacksaw and do some work...invest in a sawzall if you have the money you'll be glad you did.
you can use the coupler and clamps instead of welding, and get it welded later (cheap at a muffler shop)

Theres a shop over here that only charges like 15 bucks to get that fixed, me and all of my friends have gone there plenty of times when our piping is too short or too long
