IT'S IDLING TOO HIGH BT WHEN I DISCONNECT THE IACV IT IDLES LESS..I NEED HELP WITH THIS

 

where does it idle withe IACV connected and disconnected? if its under 1500 u can most likley adjust the idle screw reset the ecu and u should be good. if not check the FITV. take off the O-rings dont loose them, use some compressed air blow it out put it back on reset the ecu, fire her back up. Use the search button and check for Idle tips for the OBD1 Z6

 

it idles around 2000 rpm when connected & den 1500 & 1700 after its disconnected

 

1.start car let warm up to operating tepature. no AC , Radio, Accesories on. when fan comes on u are at operating tempature

2. disconnect IACV, CEL wil come on will bog down.

3. adjust idle screw til desired RPM.

4. shut off car

5. recconect IACV plug

6. Reset ecu. pull negative battery cable for 5 minutes.

7. recconect neg battery cable

8. FIRE THAT BABY UP AND WATCH HER PURR!!!
