I need help removing the headlights from my 2008 Accord Sedan! Does anyone have any instructions from Honda OR specific details about how to removel them?? I di not want to damage anything, hence the reason for specific details.

2008 Accord Sedan Headlight Removel Instructions!

here is the verbage to the project:


2008 ACCORD - Headlight Replacement
4-door
1. Remove the parts shown.

Upper fender trim
Front bumper
Front bumper absorber

2. Remove the three bolts, and pull the headlight out slightly.
3. Remove the harness clip from the headlight housing, and disconnect the connectors from the bulb sockets.
4. Remove the headlight with the corner upper beam.
NOTE: Be careful not to scratch the headlight lens and the fender.
5. Remove the two bolts and the corner upper beam from the headlight.
6. Install the headlight in the reverse order of removal.
7. After replacement, adjust the headlight.

I have not done this as yet myself... so it may be possible to do so without removing the bumper, but this is how the manual will say to do it. Why not just replace the bulb?

it's basically the same for both the coupe and sedan.

Yeah... I have not looked at it closely myself, that's just from the helms. I would suspect it could be done without bumper removal, but until I can look at it in person I can't guarantee that. there are a few "techs" on the board, perhaps one of them will chime in

I am doing an HID Retrofit (installing FX35 Projectors Bi-Xenon), therfore I have to remove the entire headlight assembly. Thanks again!

Awesome post man, it seems that Honda itself has opened a repair instruction shop on this page. I think the 2008 Accord is a uber cool car. I have seen it on roads but will go to my nearest dealer to have a look at the interiors.

 

LOL... it will take too much of my time... bettah to bring to the nearest Mechanic man..

 

It hasn't been possible to remove Accord headlamp housings without first removing the bumper since 1989.

 

Incliuding the rear?

 

I was having a hell of a time trying to figure out how to remove a busted headlight in a 2008 Accord. Thank you sooo much, this made it much easier and i saved me from ripping some of my hair out. Thanks!
