Default FS: 04 Kawasaki Z1000 - $4750 obo

04 Kawasaki Z1000 - $4750 OBO
Approximately 18k miles, clean title, original owner, no accidents.
Purchased brand new in April of 2006. Oil was changed at 500 miles and every 2500 miles thereafter. Brand new Yuasa battery, fresh oil change and brake fluid, Michelin Pilot Powers 2ct with less than 500 miles, Renthal sprocket and RK gold chain with less than 2k miles. This thing is a blast to ride, I honestly have more fun on the streets with this than I do with the ZX-10R. With the Arata/Akrapovic exhaust, DNA intake kit, and PCIII it was good for 130.46 rwhp and 69.59 lbs torque without a custom map.

mods:
- 05-06 ZX-6R forks and calipers
- 03-04 ZX-6R shock
- Extreme Graphics front turn signals
- K&N air filter
- Shogun frame sliders
- Motovation case sliders
- CRG bar end mirrors
- seat cowl
- fender eliminator
- Galfer brake lines front and rear
- AFAM -1 front sprocket
- painted misc. parts black
- Renthal ultra low bars
- Muzzys block off plates
*** above mentioned parts are NOT FOR SALE separately, please DO NOT ask ***

I have some extras that are not included with the bike, but I can for extra $$$
- brand new Gilles rearsets $300
- Arata ti exhaust system with Akrapovic carbon fiber canister $600
- carbon fiber front wheel fender, carbon fiber frame guard, carbon fiber side panel $300
- DNA intake kit $75
*** above mentioned parts ARE FOR SALE, but above pricing only applies to the buyer of my bike ***

The bad: It has 2 dents in the gas tank, on the left side however, one was from a drop while loading it onto my truck. The other from forgetting to put the kickstand down, I caught the bike, but it hit my knee. The paint on the gas tank is a bit worn from using a tank bag.

Located in Southern California and I can help with delivery within a reasonable distance.

ZX-10R not included :D

do it!
depending on who your insurance carrier is, it might be cheaper to insure a z1000.
give in to your temptation and sorry about your rc fiddy one

the 10r is a ridiculous bike. endless amounts of power, deceptively fast because of the smooth power delivery. surprisingly nimble, turns in quick, feels planted, hides its weight extremely well. bone stock brakes on the 10r are as strong as my z1000 was with the zx-6r radial calipers, steel lines, and brembo m/c. tranny is silky smooth, slipper clutch works well. surprisingly comfortable for a sportbike
the bad... it vibrates a bit around the dash at low rpms, most tend to pull to the right (I guess most techs aren't correctly aligning the rear wheel, the notches on the axle may be inaccurate from the mfg), front end is hideous, not as comfy as my z1000.

only reason I'm selling the z1000 is to stay off the streets and put in more time on the track, otherwise, I honestly have more fun on the streets with the z1000 than I do with the 10R.

already added a few bits to it...
took off the brembo 19 rcs and crg clutch lever from my z1000 and threw it on the 10r, gilles rear sets, goodridge -2 brake lines, akrapovic slip on
