We're probably going to be doing this swap on a 1993 Accord EX manual tranny, and it'll be getting a built H22A1 with manual tranny. It looks very straightforward, but I'm just wondering about any little "gotchas" that we're going to run into. Heres a list so far, feel free to add to it:
Need H22 tranny mount
Use the H22 ECU (duh! )
Wire VTEC pressure and solenoid
Use the accord axles
Lengthen fuel line from filter to rail
Use H22 header and extend to accord exhaust

Tranny mount. Either shave the tranny, get a custom one or use i think it's the 94 accord EX(R) 5spd tranny mount.

 

firedrake: use the accord's fuel rail in your h22, bolts in so you dont have to extend the fuel line.

Psyphre: Where exactly do I need to shave the tranny? On the surface the tranny mount attaches to? How much shaving (10/1000ths, 100/1000ths, 200/1000ths?)

I don't know how much, but its the outside by the mount that you have to shave .

 

you dont have to shave anything. i have had the h22 in my 93 dx for about 2 years now, and it all fits no problem. ive had the tranny out numerous times, and it goes back in every time. dont forget to wire the knock sensor wire also.

 

got picks? my mechanics has done a few and he does one or the other so the engine is straight.
