Default Building a B16a Head. Info needed.

Ok, I've never built a head, or taken an engine apart. I have found some posts about instalation of the valve train. I purchased valves, dual valve springs, titanium retainers, and a S2 test pipe for my 88 CRX with a B16. All of the valve train is SUPERTECH. Valves are (std) size.
Part #'s

Valve springs: SPR-H1002D

Retainers: RET-K20A2/T2

Valves Intake: HIVN-1000
INTAKE VALVE
33.00mm(Std) Dish Head Diameter
5.48mm Stem Diameter
102.50mm Length
BLACK NITRATED

Valves Exhaust: HEVN-1000
EXHAUST VALVE
28.00(Std) Dish Head Diameter
5.45mm Stem Diameter
102.50mm Length
BLACK NITRATED

I know I can install all of this myself, but what else do I need? As for cams, I am going to purchase Skunk 2 stage 1's, because they are carb legal in California.

Will this setup be decent N/A??? I want to go F/I in the future, but need to find a CARB legal Gerddy kit for a DelSol, or a JRSC for a DelSol.

Any help is appreciated, Thanks Alex

I would also suggest changing out the valve seals and getting a valve job done as well, since you are going to have the head apart anyway.

get the head port and polished while your at it. But since your bulding it minus well go with stage 2 cams. No cop is ever going to know its not legal.

Valve seals? Are there aftermarket seals, or just buy stock 00 SI valve seals?

The B16 I have in my REX is strong... Perfect compression, no burning oil. I also passed Cali BAR with it.

Im looking for a B16 longblock to build up. I don't wan't to mess with this engine, because it runs perfect.

In Cali, and for myself, it has to pass smog...

But will stage 2 cams pass smog legit? Skunk 2 stage 1's come with a carb #.

im from southern cali and I ran all type r cams, pistons, skunk 2 manifold, port and polish heads and toda headers on my old DA LS/Vtec definately wouldn't pass smog, but then again every person in H-T has a hook up 2 pass smog.

Either, as long as they get replaced. Supertech valve seals are pretty affordable.
