Default Question about a head swap

There's a guy offering me a port and poliched d16 head. I have a d15. Can I just switch everything from one head to the next? Is there anything that I should replace while doing this swap?

Thnx in advanced

Ignore that.

What KIND of d16 head is it? That makes more difference than anything.

If it is a non vtec sohc d16a6 head i would say buy it, if it is a non vtec d16y7 head i would say pass. (lack of cam selection)

If it is a d16 vtec head then its not exactly as "bolt on" as sleepingciv says it is. there are a fwe things you would need to change.

If it is a dohc d16 head than its not worth anything to you. Please give more info so that we can actually help you.

It is a SOHC non-VTEC PM6 head from a 94 Civic, and yes it is bare. Freshly ported/polished. Will i actually see any substantial gains from this swap alone?

Depends on the rest of the mods, but I would say not likely anything substantial no.
