Default Bought a 3rd gen... pics inside

I bought the car for $750. It has 216,000 miles on it but it doesn't smoke and doesn't burn oil.

This will be my daily driver for my project hatchback civic.

Plans for this one... like I said being a daily driver are pretty slim. I'm doing up the stereo components, tinting the windows, doing some 16" rims with some nice rubber, and dropping the car.

If the engine blows, which I hope it doesn't, I'll probably drop a B16 in it.

don't forget that it's a 3rd gen...a b16 would do nicely in there and wouldn't have many problems! it would work!

MSN Carpoint says the B16 does right around 160hp @ 111 ft/lbs of torque
They say the factory A20 does right around 120hp @ 130 ft/lbs of torque...

I know the second is wrong because I know I've read the A20 does 110 hp which would also bring the torque down... basically.. what I'm getting at is I have a 15 year old engine that supposedly did around 110-120hp factory (meaning it does all of what.... 70? ) so a B16 would drive it rite!

If it blows it'll happen... otherwise, unless I hit a jackpot or get a nice bonus, it won't happen.

I agree but i still cant be sure about the torque factor, the A20 is definitely more torquey. An F22A4 would do nice, but i have no clue if that would fit or not. I personally wouldnt spend that much on a 3rd gen if your goin with the project civic hatch, I would definetely spend all my money there and just keep the accord runnin and not worry about performance.

But since that isn't my car I'm not gonna tell you what to do. Happy Tuning and good luck with the hatch

I had a 96 Accord... decided that it got old and decided to go the complete other direction . Besides... like I said, this is my daily so it doesn't have to be extremely nice.. actually, since I work at Best Buy it's better to have a beater because it's less likely to get broken into.
